We require a 50% deposit within two weeks of sending out your invoice in order to secure the booking. The remaining amount must be paid in full, 7 days prior to the wedding. In the case of cancellation 25% of your total is non refundable. Cancellation made 14 days or less prior to the wedding will incur a loss of your 50% deposit. All prices are GST inclusive.
Flavour choices must be submitted 14 days prior to the wedding. Sicilian pistachio is an additional $12 due to the high quality ingredients used. Custom made flavours must be ordered in advance and incur extra costs. Some flavours are seasonal and therefore may not be available year round. All sorbets are dairy free and vegan. Some gelato flavours contain gluten, nut or eggs. Please speak with Erin about allergen details.
We do not hire our gelato cart unmanned, there must be a Wheel & Spoon staff member present at the time of scooping. We can access most areas but stairs, narrow door ways and elevators can be restrictive. Please keep in mind that our cart is 0.9m wide, 2.1m long and weighs over 100kgs. Please advise us if the venue has steep driveways, gravel roads and uneven surfaces.
Access to power is always preferable for events longer than an hour or at night, when adequate lighting is needed. Although our freezer can keep its temperature for up to 3 hours — depending on environmental factors; wind, direct sunlight, etc. — we will not be held responsible for the consistency of the gelato, if your chosen venue cannot provide a power outlet. Even if we have agreed to work in these conditions, in order to scoop delicious gelato for your guests.
In the case that your wedding is running behind schedule, we reserve the right to enforce our agreed upon service time. Of course (don’t panic) we enjoy serving gelato, and are generally time flexible, depending on our availability on that day.
